We have two holidays cottages (gites) in the Southern Mayenne Region of France (Dept 53). We are situated about 3 hours from Caen, in a triangle between Laval, to the North, Chateau Gontier, to the south, and Sable sur Sarthe, to the East.
Gite 1 (La Ferme) this is the original farmhouse dating to before the French Revolution. It has three bedrooms, sleeping a maximum of 10 people. There are two bathrooms with WC a large comfortable lounge and a spacious fully equipped dining kitchen.
Gite 2 (L'Ecurie) this is the old stables which have been beautifully converted into a 2 bedroom gite which sleeps a maximum of 7 people. This has two bathrooms with WC, and a large open plan living space with fully equipped kitchen.
Both gites have satellite TV, DVD and hifi's. Externally they have private patios with BBQ and patio furniture as well as private parking.
The whole site is set on nearly 2 hectares of open former farmland and we have a swimming pool (10m x 5.5m), games room with pool, darts, table tennis etc and loads of space to play or relax in. We also have a children's paddling pool, sand pit and swings. We also have a good selection of books and DVD's for those who don't wish to bring these with them.
We are ideally situated for exploring the Loire or chateaux, or visiting historic towns like Le Mans, Angers, Nantes and Rennes which are all about 1 hours drive away.
We supply all linen towels etc and have cots and high chairs available. We offer table d'hote evening meals and chambre d'hote accomodation also.
We organise golfing and fishing holidays and from 2006 onwards we will be running arts and crafts courses.
